Below are the ACTV official website for different waterborne Routes and Timetable:
Children under 6 years old are free.
All the tickets are measured by hours. If your first use of ticket is 11AM, then you can use the ticket until the 11AM the next day.
Remember to validate your pass at the vaporetto stop before your first ride, and keep it handy, as ticket inspections are frequent.
If you plan to take the water bus >= 3 times for a one day trip or >= 4 times for a two day trip, consider buy the pass. If you plan to stay for 3 days or more, recommend to take the pass, especially for people in age 6 – 29.
A very common tour of Venice is to take the water bus from the Piazzale Roma or the train station to the St Mark Square in the morning or come back in the evening (at least once). Although we recommend take it in the morning to take photos, and to avoid the lines in the Doge’s Palace and St Mark Basilica. If you have a plan to the Murano and Burano Island, it takes at least 3 times. You can also consider take water bus to go to Santa Maria della Salute and Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
